EBay is full of Chinese chess sets. Most of these have nothing to do with Xiangqi, which is the actual Chinese game of chess. These Chinese chess sets are regular Western chess sets made in China, often stored in a beautiful leather box. A popular type of Chinese chess set is the Xian Terracotta warrior set.
Some of the Chinese sets are really cheap, priced at $0.99. The catch there is the shipping costs, which can be as much as 70-80 dollars. Most of the price is hidden away in the shipping costs, because eBay charges are based on the item price. From buyer's point of view it doesn't make any difference, but the seller saves a bit there.
